The client

werplay is a creative services agency with niche for game creation and development. With their extreme dedication and passion for games, they are leading the gaming landscape in Pakistan and have become recognizable on international platforms. Their games are not only featured in App Store & Playstore for ‘Editor’s choice’ or ‘Best New Games’ but were also published in Apple Arcade. 

Brief

werplay wanted to uplift their brand identity to strengthen their position in the international market, attract talent and show off their team culture. They wanted to create a brand that reflects playfulness — a core team value that they live by everyday. 

Solution

We started with the very basics by listening to the people who made werplay to help us define a direction for the new look and feel of the brand. After interviewing few folks, there was one thing that everyone was passionate about, the playfulness and freedom werplay offers that has helped them grow both as creators and team.

The new brand will be the reflection of who ‘werplay’ is, so understanding this was the most important part of the puzzle. We curated the following tagline and about for werplay to guide the personality of the brand.

werplay — Play and Let Play. 

At werplay we believe to the core to ‘Play and Let Play’ and we are empowering great talented people to create amazing and flawless experiences for you.

The new logo would be the epitome of playfulness, dynamic and bold. 

 
 
 
 

Brand guidelines 

The building blocks of any brand the style guide — logos, colors, typefaces, shapes, photography, animations — was built to ensure consistency across all touchpoints of the brand.

 
 
 
 

Bringing the brand into the photo and video

We partnered with production agency Luminance Photography by Hamza Talat to experiment and produce a unique style for weRplay. From recruiting all the props to helping people pose was the most fun part of the project. 

The photography should inspire people to join the empowering team of werplay. It should reflect how werplay works and builds on the tagline ‘Play and Let Play’. It should be inclusive, diverse, playful and natural.

 
 
 
 

Defining the basics of website

The requirement was to provide the basic structure and direction to their in house team. After finalizing the design language we shared the wireframes and copy of website to weRplay.
